Client: Joseph Szabo
Joseph Szabo is an american photographer known for his black and white portraits and his intimate and discreet signature style.
In 1978, while still a high school teacher, he published Almost Grown, a photographic book that portrays and celebrates teenagers and whose striking visual force granted him acknowledgements and admiration from fellow photographers and directors such as Bruce Weber, Cameron Crowe and Sofia Coppola.
His photos are displayed in numerous art galleries worldwide and in prestigious collections, such as the Bibliotheque National in Parigi, the George Eastman House Museum in Rochester, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the San Francisco Museum of Art, among others.
I’m personally specially fond of one of his most famous pictures, featuring a young girl named Priscilla, used by Dinosaur Jr, one of my favorite rock bands ever, as a cover image on their Green Mind album.
